Scott Blakey, the founder of Mr. Nice Seedbank, also known as Shantibaba, and the creator of the famous Critical Mass strain, a hybrid of Skunk and Afghani genetics, famous for its robust yield and fast flowering. He described David Merino’s selection in Bilbao as extraordinary, declaring the phenotype (HighLife 2004 winner) of Ortue’s Critikal Bilbo as: “One in a million”.
The strain’s popularity spread quickly, especially in the zone of the “bocho” and surroundings. All the people of the zone wanted that phenotype of Critical Mass that produced more, that was so aromatic and that resisted so well the inclemencies of the weather of the peninsular north. Then the legend began to be forged. Genehtik, with its original strain selection, multiplied it, packaged it, and sealed it under the name of Kritikal Bilbo. From then on, any grower anywhere in the world could order his seed packet, sow it and prepare for a bountiful harvest.

Plant of medium height and fast growth that branches quite well. With an early flowering, in about 8-10 days we can already begin to appreciate the first apices, with few leaves it produces fat and very heavy flowers. Buds full of very aromatic resin so we must pay attention because it has a very intense smell.Its flowering for indoor cultivation is 45 to 55 days and the outdoor harvest period for September in the northern hemisphere and in March for the southern hemisphere.It should be noted that its production outdoors can give 1.5 kg – 2 kg per plant and for indoor crops from 550 to 600 grams per m².
Kritika Bilbo is a real delicacy to the palate for its sweet and fruity flavor. It is a resistant plant that is not too affected by fungi thanks to its early maturity, it is very easy to grow and with very good results with minimal attention. Nowadays, it is usually the first choice and recommendation to start growing and, in the vast majority of grow shops, you can find a pack of these seeds; we are talking about hundreds of thousands of seeds scattered halfway around the world.
